User Experience Philippines (UXPH), the country’s largest non-profit design organization, will host its highly anticipated UXPH Mini 2025 conference in Cebu at the University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus on September 27, 2025 in collaboration with CebUXD, the leading design community in Cebu. Attendees can expect a full-day immersive experience in skill-building workshops, keynote talks, and endless networking opportunities—at an unmatched value for admission.
Part of a nationwide series that began in Davao and will culminate in Manila, the UXPH Mini 2025 traveling conference aims to engage UX designers, students, educators, design enthusiasts, and career shifters from all over the region with practical skills and actionable insights.
What to expect at the UXPH Mini 2025: Cebu
Beginners can sharpen their job application techniques in a workshop with KadaKareer, or explore semantics, art direction for digital projects, and design techniques with Frost Design Group–the agency behind GCash’s visual and branding assets. Other workshops for beginners include building rapid portfolios with Webflow and Framer, and exploring 3D Thinking using Blender.
For budding UX Researchers, explore rigorous quantitative methods with De La Salle University-Manila researchers, and engage in collaborative prototyping with the Director of the University of the Philippines-Cebu Design Program.
Participants interested in using AI in design can be exposed to industry-standard applications in Design Systems, User Interface Design, and learn novel concepts like Object-Oriented UX.
Meanwhile, experienced participants can further elevate their leadership, storytelling skills and business acumen. They can also explore UX auditing, to build up skills that position them as the next Philippine design leaders. Workshops on Advanced Prototyping in Figma and a 3D Printing Crash Course also extend design skills beyond rearranging pixels.
Alongside workshops, keynote lectures are set to reveal “strange” skills every new designer needs, delve into scalable research operations with the Research Lead of TymeX, and uncover lessons on building resilient design teams. These talks dive into the human side of design growth, offering insights for students, professionals, and leaders alike.
According to UXPH Managing Director Aldrich Tan, “We always ensure hands-on learning opportunities at our conferences to nurture talent with a balanced skillset and to elevate the design community.”
Uplifting design communities one initiative at a time
As the largest design organization, UXPH has also partnered with established institutions in Cebu such as Southwestern University PHINMA through SWUDevs, Cebu Institute of Technology – University through Wildcat Innovation Labs, and University of San Jose – Recoletos through its School of Computer Studies. These ongoing engagements before the conference focus on inspiring students to take on design-led careers in tech and tech-adjacent fields.
